  1. Wow. I quite liked Hancock. Charlize Theron, Jason Bateman and Will Smith were all fabulous. Strange to think that a big Will Smith blockbuster would play like a fusion of Dianipponjin, The Highlander and Superman, and this all in a good way. Definitely a Jonathan Mostow and Michael Mann (both producers here) influence, but goofy and precise and broad in that Peter Berg sort of way (see also, The Rundown).

The movie is not without its flaws, but oi, a rollicking good time with some fascinating bits to chew on. A few nutbar turns of the plot make it feel both unpredictable and inevitable in the same way as Unbreakable. I liked the fact that this film seemed to take some strange chances with its audience.

I’m glad this movie was made. Who knew that I'd like this better than Wanted? We live in fascinating times.

  2. Wait. Am I seeing this right?? Is that really you Kurt? 😉

We're going to see it tomorrow. Looking forward to it!

  3. I'm a little stumped on whether or not to see Hancock.

I own ABBA Gold, I admit it. I think it sits right beside Babes in Toyland 🙂

Agree about Dark Knight, there is so much fanboybuzz everywhere. I'm surprized I've not heard anything leaked after the junket recently. It does feel like a 'have to' see.

For July I'm really looking forward to Hellboy 2 and X-Files as well! They look so much fun!

  4. I was only mildly curious about Hancock before reading a few positive reviews so I'm definitely going to be checking it out!
