After the Credits Episode 292: Littlest Hobo Media Spew – Summer is Over

Summer is officially over. At least in Vancouver.

The sun has gone and been replaced by what feels like endless rain. Whatever happened to autumn? It feels like we skipped directly to winter.

Festival season too has been a bit strange this year but after a short break for my festival hiatus, I’m (Letterboxd) once again joined by Dale (Letterboxd), and Colleen (London Lives), to catch up on what the team has been watching, listening to, and reading over the last few weeks.

Also mentioned on this week’s show:

After the Credits Episode 291: Littlest Hobo Media Spew – Summer in Quarantine Edition

Summer has come and almost gone and here we are, still in quarantine but now more accepting of the fact that movies in movie theatres are still a long way and away and in full realization that festival season will look much different this year.

This week, I’m (Letterboxd) once again joined by Dale (Letterboxd), and Colleen (London Lives), to catch up on what the team has been watching, listening to, and reading over the last few weeks.

It’s been an odd summer movie season but just as summer is beginning to close, we’re starting to see the release of what we’ve come to expect is the summer movie season: big, expensive blockbusters made to be seen on the big screen but while Tom Cruise is happy to return to the movies, some of us are still a little more cautious. That’s not to say we haven’t been watching more than our share of movies.

This week, the crew reunites and I’m (Letterboxd) once again joined by Dale (Letterboxd), and Colleen, to catch up on what the team has been watching, listening to and reading over the last few weeks.

Vacation is nearly over

The summer movie season continues to churn along and though it’s not exactly, or at all, what we’re used to, the releases keep coming.

This week, I’m (Letterboxd) joined by Melissa McDowell (Letterboxd) for some lively, conversation about some of the things we’ve been watching lately and yes, there is some heated disagreement, yet again, about the enduring quality of The 100.

Summer movie season is playing out nicely…

Summer has arrived which means spending as much time outdoors enjoying the sun and fresh air as possible before the rain sends us back inside for 10 months. As a result, our recording schedule has been and will continue to be a little more sporadic for the coming weeks.

This week, I’m (Letterboxd) joined by ATC festival correspondent Bill Harris (Letterboxd) who, as per usual, brings a plethora of new titles, insights and correct movie opinions to the podcast.

John Malkovich & Steve Carell are a winning duo

It’s been a minute since the last episode and that means lots of stuff to catch up on. Colleen’s bonsai work, Dale’s much needed upcoming vacation, my obsessive mask-making… and movies. And TV. And all sorts of other entertainment-related things.

Join Dale (Letterboxd), Colleen, and I (Letterboxd) catch up on what we’ve been watching, reading and listening to over the last few weeks. And we’ll try to be more timely with the new one. The key word here is try.

I can’t make any concrete promises but hopefully, the next episode will be on time.

So long Cardinal. We will miss you.

This episode of the podcast is a week late but not for lack of recording! On the contrary… the team did get together last week to record this show but alas, it’s been a busy few days.

Join Dale (Letterboxd), Colleen, and I (Letterboxd) as we chat about the content we’ve been watching, listening to and reading over the past two weeks.

Something for everyone

Listen. If you’d told us in January that I would be raving about Kevin James’ YouTube channel, I, and likely the rest of the crew, would have told you you were crazy. Like legit, lost-your-mind, crazy. But here we are, countless weeks into the pandemic and that’s exactly where we’re at.

But there’s also more. Join Dale (Letterboxd), Colleen, and I (Letterboxd) as we chat about the content we’ve been watching, listening to and reading over the past two weeks.

Canadian content FTW

As we continue to stay home in an effort to flatten the curve, we also continue to consume much media, catching up on old shows, discovering some new ones and even enjoying some of the early VOD releases.
