Happy romance month!
February usually brings with it a slew of romantic films and while there are some of those this month, there’s a distinct lack of romantic comedies. That said, the month does include its fair share of subversive romantic tales, including a horrific one of a young woman in a new relationship who is doing her best to fit in with the insta-family (and failing miserably) and a Jane Austen perennial about courtship.
Join Colleen, Dale (Letterboxd), and I (Letterboxd) as we dive into the February offerings.
Also mentioned this episode:
- Whistling language
- Force Majeure (original film on which Downhill is based)
